If we don’t act fast, these skydivers will become shark bait…Enter the rescue boat (just like in Manhole, the lifeguard is completely ignored ^^;).Skydivers keep jumping out of this mysterious helicopter, so you need to move the rescue boat to catch them (1 point each). Here’s the tricky part: the skydivers appear from the left, center, and right, and the number of frames until they hit the water varies. The ones on the right hit the water faster, so they don’t always land in the order they jump. This “time lag attack” is quite clever.In Game B, the right-side skydivers sometimes get caught in palm trees! They dangle for a bit and then suddenly drop, so you need to be ready. After they drop, they hit the water in just two frames, so prioritize your boat movements accordingly. This fake-out attack is intense!If you miss a skydiver, it’s a mistake. The skydiver falls into the sea and gets chased by waiting sharks. We never find out what happens to them, but the shark’s grin on the miss mark is quite unsettling (^^;;).After a miss, the game resumes from just before the mistake, so be aware of the situation to avoid consecutive misses. As your score increases, the skydivers fall faster, so move the rescue boat to the next drop point quickly after a miss. The game ends after three misses, with a maximum score of 999 points.Game & Watch’s unique miss cancellation feature is also present in “Parachute.” At 200 and 500 points, a miss is canceled, but it seems only the lifeguard’s mistakes are forgiven. We still don’t know what happens to the skydivers who fall into the sea (lol).Despite the quirky details, the balanced difficulty makes it a classic Game & Watch experience. It might feel slow if you’re used to Bandai’s Game Digital speed, but G&W’s difficulty is more universally appealing. “Parachute” is perfect for beginners in electronic gaming. If you haven’t played it yet, I highly recommend getting your hands on it!
