There is always a Sale by TheBay!We came across a cool collection of family photo albums from several different families. Some of the last names in the family were Trump, Newbald and Tyson. All of the photographs are either cabinet cards or carte de visite (CDV) photos and would date from the 1860s to 1890s. Thankfully, someone wrote dates and information on the backs of just about every single photograph. We were able to find a few entries on various sites from these family members, but we weren't able to find out as much about the family as we were the Trumps and Newbalds. However, there is a lot more information about this family available on various ancestry/family tree websites, but only if you're a registered member of which we are not.The cabinet card with the youngest member of this family on it is Stuart Hanckel Tyson who was the 2nd son of William James Tyson according to what is written on the back. A quick search showed that Stuart was born in 1882 and passed away in 1953, but his entry in ancestry has been deleted. The bottom front of this card indicates that he was 3 years and 8 months old in this photograph which would date this cabinet card to 1885 or 1886 depending on the month he was born. The cabinet card of the other young boy is William Jerrold Tyson who was 6 1/2 years old in this photograph and was also the son of William James Tyson according to what is written on the card. That would make William the elder brother of Stuart. We found an entry on Geni and Ancestry that indicated William was born on November 2, 1879 which would date this cabinet card to 1886.The cabinet card that has been trimmed of the girl looking to the right as well as the one with the young man wearing the coat buttoned to the top are Eleanor Tyson and Howell P. Tyson. We cannot decipher the middle initial for Eleanor, but Howell's cabinet card is also dated August 1883. Both of these were made by Gehrig in Chicago and we trust they are of the same age. We couldn't find anything online about either of these two young adults. The other two women are Sallie S. Tyson (dated Oct. 1884) and Sarah Saunders Tyson (dated about 1895) and we couldn't find out much about either one online. The one of the man without the mustache is John P. Tyson and is dated August 1884 and the one with the man with the thick mustache is Neville D. Tyson. As you can see Neville's cabinet card has been trimmed as well and is not dated. We couldn't find much about either man online, but we were able to find that Neville was born in 1846 and passed away in 1924, but no exact dates of birth or death were available. The final cabinet card of the stately lady sitting in a chair on the porch is that of Esther Fielding Tyson. A lot of information is written on the back of this card including that Esther was referred to as Aunt Hetty and this photograph is dated July 1890 and Esther was 82 years old. We were able to find out that Esther was born in 1808 and passed away in 1895 at 87 years old which coincides perfectly with her age and date of this cabinet card. Several of the family members on the back did come up in searches, but we'll leave it up to the next owner to spend more time than we already have trying to learn about this family. These cabinet cards are all in excellent condition. The overall dimensions of these cabinet cards are all roughly 6 1/2" by 4 1/4" with the exception of the two that have been trimmed. The photographs vary slightly in size, but are all roughly the same size. These will be shipped in a padded envelope via insured ground advantage with the USPS. We put all our items that ship in padded envelopes in between cardboard for extra protection during shipping.PLEASE NOTE: We set our shipping option as buy one item and pay for shipping and every item with the same shipping option, regardless of category, ships for free. eBay is constantly updating things, so it doesn't always work. If the shipping discount isn't showing up on your end, we will adjust it accordingly on our end and send you a revised invoice. Thanks for looking and God bless!
