The reverse side features a Portuguese text, a bank logo with hoe and pickaxe, soldiers with flag marching in front of crowds of civilians, a star-shaped monument in Pra dos Hers (Square of Heroes) in Maputo, and a civil war mural in Maputo. This banknote uses a solid security thread and contains a watermark with a Bust of Samora Mois Machel design.
