Description: This is an OFFICIAL MAJOR LEAGUE (Selig) Baseball signed by Baseball Hall of Famer, 5x All Star, 1946 Negro League World Series Champion and former Giants and Cubs outfielder MONTE IRVIN in black pen. The signature rates an 8.5/10. He added the inscription "HOF 73" under his name. The ball itself is ever so lightly toned throughout and has a singular darker spot on the south panel. Irvin was named an MLB public relations specialist for the commissioner's office under Bowie Kuhn in 1968. The appointment made him the first black executive in professional baseball.
