The reel casts and retrieves line, the anti-reverse lever works, the drag works, the reel spins freely, the bail snaps shut every time, and the handle reels properly; please view photos, read the description, and judge condition for yourself. This is in NEW OTHER MECHANICAL AND COSMETIC CONDITION, EXCEPT FOR THE ROTOR AND BAIL TRIP PARTS. All parts function as they should. I purchased this reel with many other HIGH-END reels that had been damaged at the retail location. The handle on this reel was damaged. I put an after-market handle and right-side dust cover on this reel that works GREAT for a LEFT-HANDED person only. The rotor was also damaged and the horizonal upper part of the rotor is missing on one side. The reel does work well without the piece. I also replaced the bail trip parts and the bail arm with after-market parts. The bail trips fine but it is tighter than the original version.
