Description: From Melody in Motion, this is a music playing figurine called "Organ Grinder". Made of hand painted porcelain with a bisque finish, it features an old man playing an organ with a monkey on top and a dog by his leg. Made in Japan. I've seen some other listings that say "Waco" is the company that made it. That name does also appear on one side of the box, so I'm not sure. Waco may be the company that made it, and this line of figurines may just be called "Melody in Motion". Takes 3 AA batteries to get the motion and recording going. It was displayed in our kitchen when my kids were younger, and the audio track likely wore out between being used and sitting in storage all these years. The song that is supposed to be played is called "The Sidewalks of New York". Fortunately, it was not put in storage with batteries still inside, so the battery contacts are clean and work fine. For being used, it looks excellent. I don't see anything wrong with the outside as far as nicks, scratches or anything broken. When batteries are added, the movement works fine, but the audio is not great (see video). The original box is still in good condition. Asking $25 or best offer. Local pickup is available if close enough, otherwise shipping is available.
