Description: Meade ETX 80mm OBSERVER Telescope with Red Dot Finder The OTA quickly detaches with the two thumb screws on the cradle. This model uses any of the Autostar Controllers (not included). I tested this unit with a 494 and a 497 Autostar and slewing in all directions of Declination and Azimuth appear smooth and consistent. (best to use a 494 Autostar with 9vdc of battery power) The knobs now have aluminum threads instead of the prior models with plastic threads. The ETX80 Observer has the slide built in 2x Barlow for the top viewing port and the standard flip mirror for the rear camera port. Includes the 65 page Instruction Manual for the EXT Observer Series.Includes the Objective Lens CoverIncludes two tripod mounting boltsIncludes the #07823-LS Red Dot Viewfinder
