Description: Selling a used replacement 10" driver for a McIntosh ML 10C. It came out of a pair of ML-10C's that I owned a long time ago. I bought them used and was disappointed to find that only one of them had the original driver in it. They sounded mis-matched because the one with the original driver sounded so much better than the other non OEM driver. I ended up replacing both drivers with a matched pair of replacements (non OEM), and reselling them. I've hung onto this ever since. I have no use for it, and would love to sell it on to someone who needs a replacement, or just a spare for future use.It appears to be dated March, 1973, but it is in great shape. I kept it stored in a box nested in this soft wadding material (you can see wisps of it still attached to the solder points in the photographs - it comes off very easily, I just missed it before shooting pictures) and the cone face covered in a double layer of bubble wrap. It is well preserved.These drivers were made by United Speaker Systems to Roger Russell's specifications. The 4-layer voice coil is 2" in diameter and wound on a black anodized aluminum form to help dissipate heat. A high flux density is used in the gap to produce the over damped response characteristic needed for the combination speaker/equalizer system. The round ferrite magnet weighs 40oz. The surround is foam.
