McIntosh MA-5100 Rebuild Kit w/ Instructions Amplifier Recap NO FILTERS

Description: Up for sale here is this rebuild kit for the McIntosh MA-5100 amplifier. This contains replacements for all electrolytic and tantalum capacitors (except the two main filter caps), replacements for 20 small signal transistors, and 17 new diodes, as well as three adapter plates to help you replace the three multi-section can capacitors. This kit does not include replacements for the big screw-terminal main filter caps. The drop-in replacements that I have are slightly taller than the originals, so if you have a wood case it will not fit. If you still want to replace the filter caps but have a wood case, I have some nice Nichicon VR 10000 uf 50v caps here. They are very small and will fit nicely under the chassis. This kit includes 29 capacitors--9 axial Supertech capacitors, 2 bi-polar Nichicon Muse, 9 Wima film, and 9 Nichicon (mostly PW) and Chemi-Con radial caps. These are all high-quality brand new genuine parts. The capacitors are all at the same or very close capacitance (uf) ratings and the same or improved voltage ratings. These are extremely high-quality parts, the same ones I use when I rebuild McIntosh gear. I will include surprisingly well-written instructions, but rebuilding these boards is at least mildly complicated, and you should know what you're doing and have a decent soldering iron. This is fairly delicate work, so if you're not an experienced solderer this may not be a good idea.
