Its appearance can be minimized by finishing the stock in a darker tone.Buttstock is designed to accept an original Marlin cast steel crescent rifle buttplate. We do not have buttplates available.Stock is designed to fit only Marlin Model 1888 rifles.Fitting and finishing instructions will be included with purchase.Please note: these are factory second stocks; do not expect perfection.
