Description: This is a great lot of Manzanita burl pieces . Measurements as shown, fills a Medium size USPS Priority box. Manzanita is a hardwood with beautiful colors. It can be a bit of a challenge to work with, but the rewards are well worth the effort. These are from the root sections of old trees that were removed several years ago. The wood has seasoned naturally, with most reading low moisture content, at atmospheric humidity here in So Cal. This is a really nice batch of pieces with great colors, burl, checks, voids, a bit of dry rot as shown and inclusions with so much potential. With prep, great for resin casting. I misted the surfaces with a light oil to show a bit of the great character.After photographing I applied a wax/oil blend to help stabilize cut surfaces.
