Description: [UPDATE: I have added more pics + more details below about grades] Here is a large lot of the Hernandez Bros' Love and Rockets, a classic underground series that I think will continue to gain recognition as new generations of comic fans discover it. If you are looking for individual back issues, see below about that (actually you could fill in some gaps here #s 3 5 6 with the 2nd print issues listed below). These are all first print except for #13 (2nd print). The issues here are #s 2, 4, 8 thru 39, and 41. 35 issues altogether; most of the series, which went up to #50. #2 and #4 have some / partial tarnishing on the staples (more about conditions below), #2 I'd say is FN (6.0) and #4 FN/VF (7.0). See the pics for close ups of #2 and #4 including the back covers. I may be able to sell some of the individual issues here, feel free to ask me about that; as it is there is a bulk discount for the whole batch. I do have additional copies of some issues, if you are looking for certain issues I have: (r) means copy is a little rougher condition 1st print - 10,11,12,14,15,16,19,21,22,24,29(r),31(r),34(r),41 2nd print - 2 thru 6,11 thru 15 Conditions: see the pics for issues 8 thru 12: #8 FN/VF #9 FN/VF #10 VF- #11 VF+ or VF/NM #12 VF- I noticed tarnished staples on #s 17,23,28,29 (other issues could have some of this but not as noticeable)-- the last 3 pics show close ups of #17. This is not from water damage but probably from sitting around (ie on a shelf) unbagged and exposed to humidity; I would say this is surface rust, the staples are still strong (and they've been bagged since I've had them). #17 looks VF- or VF but with the staple issue, maybe FN+ or so, not completely sure. The others are excellent high grade copies except for the following issues, which are just a little lower, usually due to light soiling and / or a little bit of spine stress: 17,18,20,23,25 thru 29, 31 thru 39 (that's 18 comics a little lower, 4 of those with the staple issue-- I'd say they are FN to FN/VF). These will ship default slow Media Mail (I fortify the package very well), or you can select USPS Ground, or you can select Priority Mail. If the price for Priority is crazy (ie you're on the west coast / Texas), I can mail these books in 2 medium flat rate boxes (the "flatter" box, approx 14 x 12 x 3) for $30, feel free to contact me about that, I can change the listing or set up a custom listing easily enough. HOW I GRADE COMICS: Here's the usual disclaimer: I am not a professional grader. I am trying to be accurate and consistent as I can. I will point out all flaws that I find. Some bagged comics I will grade "through the bag" so I may miss interior / back cover flaws. My general philosophy is that I want people to know exactly what they're getting, not be disappointed, and come back to look at my future listings. SHIPPING INFO: I am always happy to combine shipping. One way to get combined shipping is to add items to your "Shopping Cart" then from the Shopping Cart, click on "request total from seller". Or you can just pay for a bunch of listings and I'll send a refund for overpaid shipping. International buyers or for local pickup: please contact me before bidding / buying. The shipping cost will be the actual USPS cost + about 12% to cover my eBay fee on shipping / cost of shipping supplies. Economy will max out at $10, and Priority up to about 18 regular size comics is $10.00, if more than 18 it depends on how close you are to NH. About 40+ comics w/bags and boards can ship Priority in the medium flat rate box for $16; they are a little close to the edges of the box, but I'll protect them as best I can. Economy Mail could be Media Mail or some other USPS service (ie, if you are close to New Hampshire). I package things carefully!! I know what it's like to get comics with banged up corners, or folded down the middle... grrrrrrr. Just a few books will ship in a cardboard mailer or box. For most bigger orders: I'll put the comics in a bag, sandwich it between strong cardboard that's LARGER than the comics, and leave room for padding around that. Comics sent Priority Mail will be in a box, or between strong cardboard, if you're far from NH then usually in the padded envelope.
