Lionel 254E Electric Loco Orange Prewar O Gauge X5425

Description: Enameled metal center-cab electric loco on 9.25” frame, is rare orange version 254 with early 2-position reverse unit. Loco made about 1930, looks original/complete, has fatigue cracks and swelling to drive wheels. Finish is mostly clean, has wear, mainly edges, details and roof as shown. Roof has some small dents/dings. Original diecast headlights have paint wear, but look solid. Loco could not be tested due to condition of drive wheels, motor tries to run, but wheel cracks/swelling causes mechanism to bind. Also, 1 spur gear is missing. As is, no operation warranty. A rare loco, needs some TLC to get it running. It may have been made for a Macy set. All Items, including N.O.S. (new-old-stock), are graded and represented as vintage collectibles.
