You are looking at a VINTAGE Lionel 2023 Union Pacific Alco AA diesel PASSENGER set issued in 1951. This was the set released the year after the yellow Anniversary set. This set is a great operating set to enjoy on the layout. These 2023 gray units have black trim, light, reverse die cast trucks, diesel horn and Magnetraction. The passenger cars feature Black trim Lights operating couplers Window silhouettes GENERAL CONDITION: C-5+/C-6 overall. Just serviced. Runs, reverses, honks. Passenger cars all light up. Cosmetically, this is more of an operating set than a collector set. Both diesel units have scratches and paint rubs. Rollers show wear. Decal wear. One coupler on the dummy unit holds and works, but springs one way only. Some cars have the black line repainted. DETAILED CONDITION: 2023 Powered A unit Has rubs, paint chips, scratches, etc. Some oxidatin on pickups. Pick ups show some run time. Some decal wear. Serviced and running, reversing as it should. Battery compartment shows rust, etc., but the horn does work. 2023 Dummy A Has rubs, paint chips, scratches, etc. Some oxidation on pickups. Pick ups show some run time. Some decal wear. Red light jewel has a nick if you look super close. Coupler works and holds, but springs back from one side only. Shell has the base with an opening for a battery, but of course the battery is in the powered unit on this set. 2421 Maplewood Small red paint smudge, some rubs and scuffs. Some black trim may be touched up. Pick up shows wear. Lights. Nice dark gray roof. 2422 Chatham Some rubs and scuffs. Green paint on the side by name, some orange spots on the bottom. Some black trim may be touched up. Pick up shows wear. Lights. Nice dark gray roof. 2423 Hillside In the pictures, it looks like one of the rear red marker lights was pushed too far in. I have since fixed so it looks more even. Some rubs and scuffs. Some black trim may be touched up. Pick up shows wear. Lights. Nice dark gray roof.
