Description: 1896 Vintage Pitcher and Basin Bowl Set, Ivory, Roses and Gold Graceful, full-sized vintage pitcher and washbasin set is stamped "1896" on the base. Looks genuinely old but perhaps dates to the 1940's. The decorative gold flourishes and rose bouquet printing seem typical of 1940's design traditions. It's a lovely set; beautiful for a farmhouse or cottagecore kitchen or bath. Ivory ceramic with lavishly gilded handle and spout, brushed on gold crescents on bowl; printed rose bouquets on both. Gold for the most part intact; some areas of wear typical of age and wear, adding to vintage charm. Pitcher is 10 inches high, 9 inches handle to rim, 7 1/8 inches wide. Basin is 4 inches high, 13 3/8 inches wide. Together they are about 8 lbs and will be about 9 1/2 lbs to ship. Excellent vintage condition, no disfiguring chips or cracks. Wear very minimal, shelf wear on bases and modest crazing and marks commensurate with age. Suitable for gifting. Clean, hand washed and ready to use or display. Shipped quickly and packed with great care. Shipping is generated by the carrier based on your actual location, and we do not mark it up. Default shipping is UPS Ground, USPS Ground Advantage is also available, and finally USPS Priority Mail is also available if you prefer. This item is large and heavy, and will require oversize packaging. The Fine Print from Beautiful Things for You: Welcome! If you are here, you probably love vintage and antique glassware, too! We are enthusiasts, but not experts. We try to share as much background on the pieces as we can; but it is only informed opinion. Please take it as so. We love learning and welcome additional information if you have it! When possible, we include screen shots from reputable companies for pattern identification, but you will always receive the item pictured in our personal photos. We try very hard to find and point out any flaws _exactingly_ so you know what you are getting. Please read the description and look carefully at the photos - we will provide closeups of flaws, often circled, so you can evaluate them yourself. Photos are to be considered part of the description. We generally do not refer to flaws original to manufacture (i.e. bubbles, nubs, slubs) unless they are very distinctive. Vintage and antique items are by nature, old. They will have the marks and wear commensurate with their age; with antique items these indications of age are part of their beauty, and evocative of the passage of time. We will try to describe this wear carefully, but wear is to be expected. Because of the practical difficulty of packing and shipping fragile glass items, we do not accept returns. Review all information carefully so you are sure of your purchase. We treat all of our customers with courtesy and respect; we welcome any contact if you feel your purchase has not lived up to your expectations. Please contact us before leaving neutral or negative feedback, and please be kind; feedback means a lot to us. Because we love vintage items, we pack glassware with the utmost of care, with multiple layers of bubble wrap, additional padding, and Fragile stickers. Breakage has been very, very rare, less than 1% of our shipments. However, we can't prevent rough handling, machine damage, or misdirection once the shipping service has it in their hands. Packages are insured for their sold price, excluding shipping costs, and all refunds due to breakage will be divided by the number of items in the package (i.e. no full refunds for one item broken out of a set.) Absolutely let us know if this happens! We will need photos of the broken item(s), packing and packaging before any insurance claim or refund. Note: we don't control shipping costs. Shipping is determined by weight, size, and how many zones you are away from our MI location. We do not charge handling fees. Shipping is often pre-calculated depending on weight and expected size; you will not pay more than estimated, but you may pay less. We not infrequently rebate back excess; you may see this as a partial refund message from eBay when we ship. We have noticed an uptick in misdirected shipments, and it's distressing for everyone when a package goes awry. If you have not received your package, check the tracking information eBay sends to you. Please let us know if it has gone a week past the delivery date; each package is important to us but we may not have noticed. If it's listed "in transit" by the shipping service, it's on its way, but there's no way for us to make it go faster! But please notify us if this is happening. Thank you for looking at our items! We hope if you are interested in unique, sustainable, heirloom quality crystal, ceramics and glassware, you have found something here you love!
