The size of the central hole is 7 mm * 7 mm. There is another type of Large Hole exit, which is much more scarce. This is the traditional Japanese coin with irregular style, circulated as 100 mon (100 cash coins), or called equals 100 large coin. These coins were minted by Japan's local and central government during AD 1835 to 1871, just before the Meiji Finance Reform. Japan is the only country minted this kind of irregular coin.
