The ring appears to be a modern build. It has a hand sawn plate, droplets, twisted rope and a VERY impressive (6) chisel split splines shank that is perfectly executed. Of the most famous mines in Nevada the Blue Gem is listed as one of the most collected and recognized turquoise mines. Opened in 1934 in northern Nevada it closed in the 70's. This is a small choice piece a text book example of Blue Gem Mine Turquoise with it's unique blue color snd golden matrix. This ring measures just under 9.5 on my steel sizing mandrel but due to a wide shank 9.25 would probably be perfect with some small +/- size either way. It is a medium size ring and stone a really good uni-sex all day ring. It appears larger on the hand display as the display runs very small. I have a size 9.25 ring finger and it rides well on it. For a Navajo ring I would considered it to be a medium size for a single stone Navajo ring. The ring has a big deep stamp ingot "look" but is really light and easy to wear with a good feel. Very comfortable, no sharpe edges and a very recognizable collectabe stone. You would not feel "outclassed" in a Native American jewelry environment. You should be proud of you N/A jewelry, the rings quality build does justice to it's gemstone that appears like a Nevada Blue Gem mine or some of the more blue Royston area mines with it's distinctive golden to rust brown matrix. PHOTOGRAPHED ON A VERY SMALL DISPLAY HAND IN BOTH INDOOR AND OUTDOOR LIGHTING. Documentation of all weights and measurements, and condition are in the pictures. Please ask questions.
