Description: Steven Spielberg directed the first two 'Jurasic Park' films that came out in '93 and '97. Those two movies were based on novels by author Michael Crichton. The third movie wasn't directed by Spielberg, this time Joe Johnston was at the helm, and it wasn't based on a Crichton novel, either. (But based on characters from the first movie and the dinosaurs, of course.) Part 3, officially titled 'Jurassic Park III', was released in 2001. The franchise was quiet for many years, until 2015, when a new movie came out. Titled 'Jurassic World', it is about events 22 years into the future, and after the events of the first film. That was followed up by 'Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom' in 2018, then the third movie in the new series, called 'Jurassic World Dominion' was released in 2022. Six awesome films with realistic special effects and great acting! Later this year, in July, we'll get a new 'Jurassic Park' movie! Supposedly titled 'Jurassic World Rebirth', and starring Scarlett Johansson, Jonathan Bailey, and Mahershala Ali, among others. Scheduled to come out around the Fourth of July, and part of the summer movie blockbusters that are always released for the Fourth! Today we look back at ALL SIX amazing 'Jurassic Park' movies as we patiently wait for the newest one... The first three were released in a special FIVE disc box set in 2011. It's each movie on one DVD, plus the first bonus disc with special features from the first movie, and the second disc with special features from parts 2 and 3. Housed in a very cool silver box the holds all five discs in a gatefold. Box and gatefold have a little normal wear on them. All of the discs look great, and have only a couple of very light surface marks on them. Only disc 2, for 'The Lost World', has light scratches on it. Nothing deep, or that will affect play, as I've play tested it, and it plays fine. (One or two quick, split second digital scrambles was all I saw. No freezing up or skipping.) Next up is a collector's round tin containing THREE versions of 'Jurassic World'! It's the Blu-ray 3D, a standard Blu-ray, AND a DVD. In a really cool tin case (instead of a steelbook), and a cardboard carrying case. All three discs look great, with only the DVD having one or two very light surface marks on it. Nothing bad, hardly noticable, and won't affect play. The Blu-ray discs look new, and are shiny and clean. The tin case has one ding on the cover. Cardboard case has a little wear on it. Then it's the Blu-ray and DVD combo of 'Fallen Kingdom', and both of those discs look great, and are shiny and clean. Case looks good. And last, we have 4K Ultra combo disc for 'Dominion', with a 4K disc, and a Blu-ray disc! This one comes in its original slipcover. Both disc look new, and are shiny and clean. Grab this sweet bundle of action packed adventures with the dinosaurs of Jurassic Park, featuring the original three movies, plus the three modern day sequels! One of the sequels, 2015's 'Jurassic World', contains a 3D version of that awesome film. Don't have a 3D setup yet? No worries, as it also contains a Blu-ray and a DVD.
