(Note: 4" is the standard in the industry, but occasionally you'll find an odd size such as a 3" or 3.5" diameter).3) If your tube heater has a round or square burner mounting flange on the first combustion tube, you'll need to cut the flange off with a reciprocating saw with metal blade, leaving just a blunt 4" diameter tube. The tube end fits snugly inside the universal mounting flange, which includes set screws to tighten the flange to the tube.4) If your tube heater has a turbulator baffle (usually located at the flue end of the heater), you may need to adjust or remove it to ensure proper operation.
