Author Biography Mikko Säily graduated from Raahe School of Engineering and Business with a Bachelors degree in Embedded Systems and Computer Engineering. He joined Nokia in 1994 and worked as a Senior Specialist in the areas of algorithm design, digital signal processing and radio performance evolution. He has been closely involved in GSM standards evolution, concept development and radio performance evaluations. Currently he works as Research Manager in Nokia Siemens Networks. Public profile at: Guillaume Sébire graduated in 1997 from the École Nationale Supérieure de Sciences Appliquées et de Technologie (ENSSAT), University of Rennes II with a Masters degree in Electronics and Computer Engineering, Embedded Systems. He joined Nokia in 1997 and is currently working as a Senior Research Manager at Nokia Mobile Solutions leading the GSM research and standardization program for Nokia and Nokia Siemens Networks, and the Nokia team in 3GPP TSG GERAN. Guillaume has strongly contributed to the elaboration and the evolution of the GSM/EDGE standard on a wide range of technical topics.
