Description: Gorget Preform, 2 3/4"x3 1/2", limestone. Two perfectly drilled biconical holes, (drilled from both sides, I've never understood how they could do this so perfectly), two more holes started below them for a perfectly square pattern and looks like possibly a fifth and sixth hole in the center of the four which were barely started, see shadowy pics 8 and 9. Don't know if this was going to be a four-hole gorget or what the maker was thinking, definitely a unique and interesting artifact! Some patina wear on the interesting side but the back side has unbroken patina. From an old collection out of Columbus, Indiana. Guaranteed ancient and unaltered for life. I am a 25 year plus member of CSAS, GRAS and GIRS archaeological societies. Fast shipping, will combine whenever possible. Any questions or more photos please message. Thanks for looking!
