These are also called African Hunter or Rhino knives. You would have to time travel to find one like this.Edge Brand was an in-house trademark for Gutmann Cutlery Co. Gutmann was the first and sole distributor of Puma knives.This Bowie has very light signs sharpening on one side. Blade, handle and pommel are rock solid and tight as it should be.Knife is equipped with a high quality tan leather dangle sheath that is in excellent condition as well.This fine German Edge Brand Bowie Knife measures a whopping 13.5" OAL with a blade length of 8.25". It sports a distinctive blade profile with a 6mm thick spine and a properly beveled false edge capable of holding a keen edge to assist with vertical cuts. The mirror finish blade is bright and shiny. It's difficult to catch the mirror finish on a camera. Top area of the sheath is stamped WEST GERMANY with EDGE BRAND on the lower area. Blade is stamped 469 with opposite side stamped, EDGE BRAND / SOLINGEN / GERMANY. The blade is marked BOWIE. See photos for further details, clarification, and condition. Shipping to CONUS only.
