Description: I'm pretty sure this is from Peru, carved from different gemstones. This one has a light green with brown splotches body (probably Peruvian serpentine), head made from an orange stone (red jasper?) and black onyx, with metal feet glued to quartz crystal. The sculpture measures approximately 3 1/8" tall, 2.5" long and weighs 3.4 oz. The top of the head has an extra little blob of clear lacquer. The last photo shows it next to similar birds for sale. I have a bunch of similarly carved birds and fish listed for sale, and am happy to combine shipping. The carvings were stored wrapped in towels, and they all have some amount of tiny fibers from the towel that stuck to the clear lacquer over the stone. It's easier to notice against the darker stones. Some parts of the metal legs/feet have a black surface. Please see the photos to see the extent for this bird.
