Description: Ivy was introduced in 1948 and discontinued in 1983. Ivy was one of the original Gladding McBean & Co patterns that did not get elected to go on to be manufactured when Wedgewood moved manufacturing to England. The Tea Pot is in amazing condition. The spout does not have the normal chip in the end. The lid....well... it is showing its age....there are 2 small chips which when you consider it is probably over 70 years old isn't too bad. If all I have is a couple of chips at 70 I'll be elated!! This is the old version Tea Pot with the green trim. It has the "Half Moon" backstamp 1949-1953. Please look at all the photos. With all my pieces when I bring them home, I hand wash them. I do this because I don’t believe you can truly say there is “no crazing” without getting them wet. Crazing can hide. So, when I say there are no chips, cracks, crazing or repairs, I have done my due diligence to discover any defects.
