Description: This is a PRIVATE listing for an used HP-21 Scientific Calculator, made in Brazil back in 1975.My father was the sole owner of this product (he bought it at the time it was launched, to use at university) =================== CONDITION: - The calculator *WAS NOT TESTED* because I don't have any batteries to put in it. So I'm assuming that it doesn't work.The AC adapter doesn't seem to be working (it didn't show any signs of working when my father tried it out). - Aesthetically, the calculator is in good condition and will certainly look great if it is to be displayed in a collection.The four adhesive backings seem to have a bit of dirt on them. You can read "HEWLETT-PACKARD - Brazilian Industry - 25V - 500mW" on the back of the item. This means in Brazilian Portuguese that this calculator was manufactured in Brazil. - The removable back plastic cover has a piece of tape stuck to it (my dad can't remember why he put it there).The springs are loose and the places for the batteries have some stains and need cleaning. - It comes with the owner's manual, dated September 1975 and written entirely in Brazilian Portuguese.Just like the calculator itself, there is a message saying that the manual was made in Brazil. The manual contains all the pages and there are no tears or scratches. However, the pages are yellowed and you can see yellow stains on several pages. - The case is in good condition. - The power cable looks average, maybe it needs cleaning. Unlike the other parts, this Battery Charger / AC adapter was made in Singapore. But it was an included item when my father bought the calculator (it wasn't purchased separately afterwards). =================== All photos are from actual item on sale.
