Early Staffordshire Spatterware Patriotic American Eagle & Shield Cup & Saucer

Description: Here's an early ceramic pearlware blue spatterware cup and saucer set with a patriotic American theme of an eagle and a shield with 13 stars from Staffordshire, England. The set dates from the early to mid 1800's. Please note that I have multiple sets available, but the information in this listing refers just to one set. The cup measures 2½ inches tall and 4 inches in diameter at the rim. The saucer is 1¼ inches deep and 5¾ inches in diameter. Altogether the set weighs almost ¾ pound before packaging. The saucer is marked with an impressed Z as shown in the 5th picture. The cup is unmarked. Both pieces are in excellent condition with no chips, nicks or cracks.
