Description: Up for sale is a pair of Early Macbeth Evans Glass Co. Diamond and Dart black glass vases each measuring 8 & 1/8" tall. These very hard to find vases feature great Art Deco styling. Macbeth Evans Glass Company, located in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, began business in the late 1880's primarily making glass for industrial use. These vases date to the early 1920's when the company began branching out into glass for residential use. There is a tiny, hard to see, rectangular mark on each vase near the base edge (see 6th photo). These vases are in excellent condition with no chips or cracks. There is a very tiny rough spot on the rim of one of the vases (see last photo) that I believe is original to production. The spot is very hard to see and I only mention it for complete accuracy of description.
