Description: Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 Early LEE HUDIN (Orient & Flume Studios glass artist) 1974 Art Glass Vase We are pleased to offer from our personal collection this studio art glass vase made by Lee Hudin. The art glass vase features numerous millefiori canes on a dark tan glass body. The rim was folded down towards the shoulders. It has a pontil mark on the bottom that was ground flat. Hudin was a glass blower for Orient & Flume during their early days, but left with Scott Beyers to form their own glass studio named Ophir Studios, only to return to Orient & Flume after the many challenges being on their own. This is an early example that was probably made at the Orient & Flume Studios during one of his lunch breaks, as the glass artists hired by Orient & Flume were paid hourly wages. It is fully signed “Lee Hudin” and dated “5/15/74”. Orient & Flume hired many talented glass blowers to create their wares. Hudin was definitely among one of their greatest talents who expired in 2003. Overall, the glass vase is in excellent condition with only a single open bubble on the surface of the lip (see photographs). This is not distracting. If you are forming a collection of Orient & Flume art glass, you should include pieces made by their glass artists. Please take the time to carefully examine all the photographs for more details. Contact seller if you have any questions or if you require additional photographs for inspection. Measurements: The vase stands approximately 4-1/2 inches in height. It measures approximately 4-1/2 inches in diameter. The vase weighs approximately 1 lb, 4 ounces. All measurements are approximate, but close. Condition: We carefully examined this item. NO Chips, Cracks, Scratches, Stains, Repairs or Restorations were noted. There is a very small open bubble on the top of the lip (see photographs). Not distracting, and probably occurred in the making; it is mentioned for accuracy. Please take the time to carefully examine all the photographs for more details.
