The genie remote has a small top cover missing at the top, but this does not affect the Genie remote control at all. Please refer to remote pictures. We have been Direct TV customers since 2009, but decided to give up our Direct TV Service in July of 2024 and signed up with a streaming service. When I called Direct TV to unsubscribe I was told that they did not want their equipment returned to them. I was told to put it in an electronic recycle bin if I had no use for the equipment . We unhooked the Direct TV and I decided to see if anyone would like this receiver, the genie remote, the AC power cord, the power inserter cord, and the HDMI cord for $25.00. If you are local the Direct TV satellite is attached to our home and you are welcome to it also. I'm just not sure how to unhook it.
