The DiamondNite Model DN1 Pro is a Professional Dual Moissanite and Diamond Tester that can be placed in a Retail Store jewelry counter that can be used without any start up time. The tester can test for Diamonds, Moissanite, and has a Metal Alert Feature. Tester has a built in Alarm Feature to alert you if you left the tester on after five minutes of inactivity. This tester can detect low conductive moissanite by using an ultraviolet lamp while testing. This tester can detect Forever One moissanite by using the ultraviolet lamp while simultaneously performing the test. This tester can detect some Synthetic "HPHT", or High Pressure High Temperature Diamonds and will read them as Moissanite, or Metal because HPHT synthetic diamonds can be very good electrical conductors. Some "HPHT" may read as METAL because of the near surface reaching metallic flux inclusions. Professional Series DN-1 Operating Instructions 1. Install the 9v rechargeable battery when ready to use. Do not leave the rechargeable battery installed in unit unless the base is plugged into 115vac. 2. If this unit has not been under use for some time, then install the rechargeable battery and place the tester in the base with the base unit plugged into 115vac. Leave on the base unit under 115v power at all times. Recharging will take overnight to fully charge battery. 3.After the battery is fully charged the ready light will come on, if the wait light is on then wait until the ready light comes on before testing. Unit is now ready to test Diamonds, Moissanites and Metal Detection. If the metal light comes on, stop testing until the ready light comes back on. Be careful not to touch the probe tip to any metal surrounding the stone. 4. Hold the tester in such a way so that your fingers are resting on the rear metal plate and your other hand must hold the metal housing the gemstone or the metal test plate. 5. Lightly touch the probe tip in the center of the gemstone. Hold the tester perpendicular to the table of the gem for one second. 6. If it's a simulant or non-diamond, nothing will happen. If it's a diamond the buzzer will sound and the blue (diamond) light will come on for about 6 seconds. If it's a moissanite the tone will change and the light will switch from blue to red (moissanite) within 1/2 a second. 7. After the buzzer is heard you must continue to test for one second before you take the probe off the gemstone. This is because the test for diamond is done first and the test for moissanite is completed 1/2 second later. 8. If the tone changes while you are removing the probe, you must re-test because you may have accidentally touched the metal findings while removing the probe tip. 9. If the unit has been removed from the base for about 6 minutes, the alarm buzzer will come on. To reset, place the unit back into the base or press the alarm reset button. Warranty Oris Nelson Enterprise, Inc. provides that each DiamondNite DN1 Pro will be free from defects in material and worksmanship for a period of two years from the date of purchase. (Batteries and probe tip are not included in Warranty.) This Warranty becomes void by: 1. Unauthorized repair, misuse, modification, alteration or tampering.2.
