Description: This Dept. 56 Dickens Village Series building, "The Maltings," is part of the Heritage Village Collection. A maltings is a building where cereal grain is converted into malt by soaking it in water, allowing it to sprout and then drying it to stop further growth. The malt is used in brewing beer, whisky and in certain foods. Great addition to your Dickens' Village or any winter/Christmas decorations. The building is in mint condition - no chips, cracks, or repairs and the light works. The box and sleeve show a little wear - please see photos for actual condition. The piece is signed, but, I can't make out the signature.
