Description: Overview: Up for sale is this a lovely oil painting by listed Los Angeles, California artist, Lorraine Pelman (1915-2009). Ms. Pelman was a very active artist and member of the Beverly Hills Art League. This piece depicts an impressionist town or village with flower market in the foreground. I love the plumes of colors and the subtle chunky impasto utilized for the flowers. It is signed "Pelman" at lower left (I acquired this piece amongst a number of Ms. Pelman's paintings recently). Undated, but I'd estimate that this dates to the 1960's or 1970's. It comes framed in a nice good gilt carved wood frame with linen matting.Condition: The painting and frame are in excellent condition. Measurements: Painting measures 12 inches high x 6 inches wide.
