Description: Civil War Union Infantry post war Veterans Hat. This hat has been in our collection for many years and it makes an absolutely wonderful display piece. This hat is in beautiful condition for its age, please use photos for your evaluation and condition. The hat is fragile but not in a crumble state and can be handled with care, the hat has areas of wear throughout with fading and discoloration, the emblems are held on by wire Bannerman or Stokes-Kirk surplus emblems, the front Infantry emblem shows wear, the top infantry emblem has patina and is tarnished, the inside liner is in tact and made of leather, silk and paper. The inside of the hat has a remnant of an Indiana paper label and a hat makers mark. Please message with any questions or to request an additional photo angle.
