Description: Six compositions by Charles Mingus, highlighting his genius by interpreting the church music of his youth in “Wednesday night prayer meeting,” paying tribute to Jelly Roll Morton in “My Jelly Roll Soul,” and jazzing up the blues in “Cryin’ Blues.” The sleeve is VG+ - front cover is beautiful - back cover shows some ring wear (see pictures). Media is G+ to VG - there are surface scratches leading to some hiss and pop especially on track 2 side 1. No skips, but if you want it clean this one’s not for you. Overall a solid playing album and a great addition for any jazz aficionado.
