Description: This vintage postcard-- published by the Souvenir Post Card Company out of New York and Berlin-- shows the "U. S. Post Office, Charleston, S. C." This historic building was built in 1896, and my brief research suggests that it also served as courthouse. This building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1974. After the years the postcard may show some typical wear.
