Description: This Barred owl is carved into a half log of Norway spruce. The measurements are as follows: 19 inches tall, 6.5 inches thick, and 13 inches wide. It has been sealed in spar urethane giving it a glossy protective finish. This carving can be kept inside or outside, but I highly advise keeping it out of the elements especially out of direct sunlight as the excessive heat and harsh uv light are very hard on wood carvings. The carving does have some cracking in spots cracking is a common occurrence in wood carvings and there is no way to prevent it. With this being said, it is possible that the carving may develop more cracks as it ages.
