Description: OVERVIEW: Here’s a vintage c1940 sterling brooch by Danish-Canadian jeweler Carl Poul Petersen. He was born in Copenhagen and apprenticed under Georg Jensen. This is a wonderful late Art Deco/early Modernist design that I have not seen before. It depicts a stylized gazelle leaping between two wonderful scroll elements, all within a rectangular frame.
