Card of 42 ANTIQUE BUTTONS, Assorted Early PLASTIC, Bakelite, Catalin, Celluloid

Description: Card of 42 antique and vintage clothing buttons -- ASSORTED PLASTIC -- were produced in various shapes and sizes. Most of the buttons were probably produced in the early 1900s to the 1930s, with a few possibly being more recent. The buttons are made of various types of plastic, including: Bakelite, celluloid, catalin, casein, and more. Please refer to the ruler pictured in the image for the exact sizes of the buttons. Overall condition: Solid VG+..... Some of the buttons may have light surface wear or soiling -- but I don't see any breaks, chips, or other more serious flaws. The group is overall in very nice shape and they will display quite well. See attached photos for more detail on the condition. ***************************************** PLEASE NOTE: I am NOT an expert on vintage buttons. My mom -- Nancy Moran -- was a longtime member of the National Button Society, plus was active in several local button clubs in New York. She downsized her collection before passing away in 2020, so I have been helping her sell some of her treasures. But I am not familiar with all the terminology and intricacies of button collecting. I try to use various notes she left with the buttons to describe them to the best of my ability, but understand that any terms I use in describing these items, are not terms I am familiar or experienced with. I am also not knowledgeable on the hobby criteria in condition grading -- so I use my condition grades in a commonsense manner -- as if grading any collectible -- they are not based on any hobby standards.
