Description: Card of 25 antique to modern clothing buttons -- all picturing specific varieties of FLOWERS. The buttons were produced during various eras -- many in the 1800s, some in the vintage era of the early to mid 1900s, and also a few more modern. These buttons were made using various materials, including: fabric, stone, porcelain, Lucite, glass, bovine bone, tin, copper, brass, and other types of metal. Some of the button types are: Satsuma, tole, OME, carved, open-work, embossed, scrimshaw, enamel-work, realistic, and hand painted. There are an interesting assortment of buttons on this tray. Please refer to the ruler pictured in the image for the exact sizes of the buttons. Overall condition: Solid VG+..... The buttons may have slight surface wear or tarnishing -- but I have noticed no cracks, breaks, or other more serious flaws. The group is overall in very nice shape and they will display beautifully. See attached photos for more detail on the condition. ***************************************** PLEASE NOTE: I am NOT an expert on vintage buttons. My mom -- Nancy Moran -- was a longtime member of the National Button Society, plus was active in several local button clubs in New York. She is downsizing, so I am helping her sell some of her collection. But I am not familiar with all the terminology and intricacies of button collecting. I try to use various notes she left with the buttons to describe them to the best of my ability, but understand that any terms I use in describing these items, are not terms I am familiar or experienced with. I am also not knowledgeable on the hobby criteria in condition grading -- so I use my condition grades in a commonsense manner -- as if grading any collectible -- they are not based on any hobby standards.
