Description: c1873 commercial style PIE SAFE from Havana, NY 46.5" tall Absolutely beautiful antique pie safe. Has stamped mark on one side - Havana, NY was renamed after the Spanish-American war, and is no longer a town in NY state. Size & style would have been from a bakery - versus the more common home style pie safe cabinet. This cabinet has the original mustard grain paint - and looks absoluetly goregous. There is one handle, on one side - not certain this is original, it is period, but it may have been added later. Great original surface. I believe the screens to be original, they need to be tightened & re stamped/sealed on all three sides. Clean! Cabinet measures 46.5" tall x 31.5" wide x 32.5" across. I believe the main cabinet to be eastern white pine - the interior pie rack or spine is quartered oak! Great primitive piece! Would look great in a home or commercial/store setting. Will need to ship with blanket wrap service - $250-350, depending on region. Can also be picked up in Tolland, CT at our warehouse - showroom.
