Description: This issue is very odd. It is a sort of reissue of a previous album which has only 10 selections. The covers are almost exactly identical. (Three additional selections have been added, and one selection - "Tonight" - has been removed.) Both albums were marketed as "jazz" - which Eckstine was famous for - but that is really a stretch. Eckstine sings well, as always, but these renditions hardly qualify as jazz. Also, the title makes it seem as though Eckstine performed the selections in the movies themselves; he didn't. 33 1/3 rpm LP record. Mercury MG-20834. Original Monaural.
