Description: Australian Lightning Ridge Semi-black Opal ring. This opal I made from a parcel I paid $10,000. for and I was afraid I wasn't going to get nothing from it. I was disappointed as I only ended up with some medium grade Opals so far. Then a slight black appeared in a stone that was to be thrown out. It had no color and lots substrate we call sand. I try to keep in mind never to through away any stone till I’ve checked every piece by cutting everything down. This piece I started cutting away the sand and rock substrate. Then a saw a little color. The deeper I went, the more color came out and as a result I cut this beautiful gem! I had this ring custom made in 14k gold with 32 -1mm Diamonds to surround it. This is truly one of a kind. No one will have a ring like this. Beautiful as an Engagement Ring. The pictures outside in direct sun light.
