Description: AN ANNOTATED BIBLIOGRAPHY OF ASIAN BIG GAME HUNTING BOOKS, 1780-1980 represents two hundred years of books related to big game hunting sport in Asia. All of the classic sporting authors are present including Prince Demidoff, Jim Corbett, Kenneth Anderson, Theodore Hubback, and many others who relate their adventures stalking tigers, elephant, panthers, buffalo and the like in India; wild sheep, ibex, markhor and numerous other high mountain game in Central Asia, the Himalayas, Mongolia, etc.; as well as numerous other species. More than 700 books are listed alphabetically by author, each listing with publication details and annotations that reveal where the hunter hunted, and what kind of game they pursued. Highlighting this 254 page book are sixteen colored plates showing the beautifully designed covers of some of the books. This book was compiled by Kenneth P. Czech, and was published at Land's Edge Press in Saint Cloud, MN in 2003. It is a first edition of 750 copies, but these copies are not numbered. They are signed by the author. The book is hardcover in brown cloth with gilt titles, and comes in a colorful pictorial dust jacket. The book was originally offered as a limited, numbered edition at $65. These are out of sequence and not numbered.
