Description: Antique Burl Wood Cigarette CaseYale University School Seal/EmblemMade in France An original vintage burl wood cigarette case featuring the school seal/logo for Yale University. This cigarette case has a hinged lid and features great craftsmanship and a nice quality to the burl wood. The seal/logo is made of delicately inlaid portions, but unfortunately has some damage (read condition below). The interior is stamped "Made in France" SIZE: Case measures 4 1/4" by 3 1/4" in size and 1/2" in thickness.CONDITION: Notable issues to the inlaid seal/logo. The top of the background ribbon/banner portion is missing (this would have likely been brass inlay). Also, the white detailed circle inlay around the center logo is part missing. Finally, the brass inlay with the "Lux Et Veritas" text is starting to pull up from the wood. The hinged lid still works well and the interior of the case is quite clean. The exterior has some moderate surface wear and scratching from handling. There are no cracks or breaks to the wood, other than some natural lines to the burl.
