Description: I can not know the age of this quilt, but I suspect is perhaps older than the 1920's that I guessed at in the specs. It was made by a group of women in what is known as a quilt circle, they each signed their contribution. Some of the signatures were not very legible and thus I opted to picture some of the fabric loss and stains so that you might more clearly see its condition. It does have fabric loss on some of the pieces, some rupture of seams, and a large stain of some sort about 24 inches in length and 15 or so in width. The size of the quilt is approximated as it is very hard for one person to measure such a large quilt. (The iron fence pieces, were holding it down in the breeze - for sake of photographing.) It carries with it a great deal of nostalgia for these women long gone, with the placing of their personalization in the form of their signature/initials, or first name.
