Description: This a fantastic Simon Halbig young woman doll that I cleaned/restored. Her apron and skirt had to be replaced everything else is original. The skrit material I used has the identical patter of original skirt. This doll is quite old 1800s. The silk apron I replaced with a similar silk plaid. I used the original trims on both the apron and skirt as they were not damaged. I want to talk about the face on this doll she is a very turned head and her expression is full of the love and light of youth. The brows and lashes are painted beautifully. Her mouth has a slight smile, lol like the Mona Lisa. This is the most artistically expressive face I have ever worked with.
