Description: This vintage nautically themed, brass lamp is boudoir size at 10" tall without a bulb or shade. It has a cast iron weighted foot that is 5 5/8" in diameter. I'm not sure of the maker as the markings on the bottom are much to obscured. Judge by the construction I believe it was made in the 1930s, possibly earlier. As far as I can tell there is no clear finish. If there ever was, it has long since worn away. With that in mind, one could polish it to whatever level of brilliance they desired. There are some stains and wear, as well as some denting along the foot. All together, there is no severe damage. There is a neat and fun, novelty feature. The ships wheel is set up to actuate the pull chain on the light socket. It works very well, and can be turned in either direction for on or off. The light socket is in good condition. It is wired with about about 6' of modern style clear cord. I have shown the lamp in photo #8 with a 6" paper shade for scale. Neither the bulb nor shade are included. They were used for demonstration only. Look the photos over and feel free to ask questions. This item will be securely packaged and shipped insured within the lower 48 US states only.
