No stains or usage damage... Measuring 112 inches by 82 inches and made from a blend of cotton and silk, total weight before packing is 4.17 US Lb's / pounds of tightly woven fabric. The piece features a vibrant mix of blue, reds, and multi-colors, perfect for adding a pop of color to any space. This large piece is very clean and shows it's integrity quality by its tightly woven panels. . The fabric was sourced from a "Hanzel Galleries of Chicago", I found the firm years ago when I first bought this ,I think it was a mid level auction company before the web.. they are not still in business, great provenance. I've owned this Kente Cloth for over 15 yrs ,just stumbled upon it in my crowded upstairs storage room,this morning .. Decided I should sell it ,as it was semi lost ..in my huge piles of inventory... Their was a time African Royality & Their Court were only allowed to use wear Kente Cloth . Much like Imperial Chinese Dynasties had woven robes only the Emperor and those allowed inside Bejing's Imperial Forbidden City were allowed wearing Royal Robes. Prior to 1910.. Much to the world's delight! ❣️ Today Kente is worn by Africans of all backgrounds ,Makes a great huge statement on a wall Covering .etc etc Kente Cloth worn & used today ranges from average to above average grades of contemporary bright colored Kente ,like Eddie Murphy wore his movie "Coming to America" in a few scenes of the Eddie Murphy Classic . Pardon all shadows ,my small backyard has huge trees that cast lots of shadows on this fabric . Please keep this in mind while viewing this monster sized piece of finely woven fabric.. Checking on sold pieces of similar size and age , I found that $450.00 was paid & sold online in last 90 days.. This African cloth is handmade and hails from Ghana, with a time period of manufacture ranging from 1600 to 1930.
