Carved and painted inscription on back in Japanese script: in red: “so gyo” “20 Shunen Kinen” meaning: on 20th anniversary of the company; and in black: “Accountant Miyake Noriyoshi”. Abacus has 15 digits (rows) of 5+1 counting beads. Size: 13-1/4 by 4-1/4 by 1-1/4 inch. Age likely between 1927 and 1967 based on Accountant title. Very nice condition.
