Description: The knife is engraved on the face near the handle below the spine with " Harrington Cutlery Co. " in and arch. Below it has " DEXTER " with " Southbridge, Mass. " in a straight line below. The blade is nine inches from the handle to blade tip. Henry Harrington started the cutlery company in 1818 and his son Dexter took over in 1861. They merged with the John Russell Cutlery co. in 1935. based on the stamping an a few sources online this appears to have been made prior to 1935 when the engravings changed to include Russell. It has pitting, dark spots and wear consistent with use and age. The handle is chipped at the back end. The handles are firmly pinned on with no play. It will need some sharpening. Please study photos they are part of the description. It is 13 15/16 inches long overall.
